MG GENERON INTRODUCES SMALL TONNAGE GENEROX® VPSA SYSTEM FOR ON-SITE OXYGEN GENERATION
Malvern, PA, June 1999 -- MG Generon, the world leader in membrane technology for on-site nitrogen generation, has introduced a new small tonnage VPSA (Vacuum Pressure Swing Adsorption) system for on-site oxygen generation. The GENEROX® Small Tonnage VPSA system offers extraordinary energy efficiency and low capital cost for oxygen requirements in the 5 to 20 metric tons per day range, at purities up to 95%.
Part of the new line of modular systems for on-site oxygen generation available from MG Generon, the GENEROX VPSA system provides users with direct control of the quality and volume of oxygen in applications such as pulp bleaching, chemical synthesis, water treatment, glass manufacturing, combustion enrichment, metalworking, aquaculture, ozone production, and a host of other O2 applications.
Small, energy-efficient and convenient to use, the GENEROX VPSA system significantly reduces energy consumption, typically 50% lower than conventional PSA oxygen generators. Our highly-efficient VPSA process, traditionally available only to large oxygen users, has been engineered to meet the capacity requirements of small to moderate oxygen consumers.
The GENEROX system features an automatic, programmable logic controller (PLC) that gives users interactive control of the system, makes it possible to adjust input and output variables with great ease, and provides remote monitoring capabilities.
Users can also adapt the GENEROX unit to other control panels and maintain desired pressure and purity levels by integrating automatic system shut-offs. An isolated control panel, in most models, separates valves from electrical components to increase safety and permit operation in hazardous environments.
The GENEROX Small Tonnage VPSA system comes complete and ready to install with interconnected feed air and vacuum blowers, adsorbent beds, switching valves, piping, controls, and an optional oxygen compressor and high-pressure storage receiver. The unit is self-contained and compact, with a small footprint to ensure easy installation, even if site space is limited.
Skid mounted with pre-mounted tanks, the system requires minimal site preparation. For added security, an optional oxygen liquifier is available with a fail-safe liquid back-up system that activates automatically in the event of power failures or unexpected peak requirements exceeding VPSA system capacity.
